FAQ
Find answers to Relocation into Italy and Malta
Visa-Free Stay: As a visa-waiver national you may stay in Malta (and the wider Schengen area) for up to 90 days within any 180-day period without a visa
Work Authorization: However, working during that visa-free period is not permitted unless you hold a specific Maltese work permit or long-stay visa that authorizes employment. Engaging in work without the proper permit—even if your stay is under 90 days—is illegal and may lead to penalties or a re-entry ban
If You Wish to Work:

Apply Before Arrival: Obtain a national work visa or a residence permit for employment through the Central Visa Unit or a Maltese consulate.
-
Required Documents: A valid job offer or employment contract, proof of accommodation, health insurance and, where relevant, evidence of sufficient means.
